Two people were killed on Friday when a vehicle crashed into a large crowd of Muslim worshippers at the Eid-El Kabir prayer ground in Ijebu-Igbo, Ogun State.

The Police Public Relations Officer, Abimbola Oyeyemi, confirmed this to Channels Television.

According to him, the vehicle plowed into the crowd after the driver lost control, killing the two and leaving several worshippers injured.

Thereafter, an angry mob attacked the driver, although he was later rescued by policemen.
