Earlier, we hear a rumor that Google and Xiaomi are working on an affordable device. And now, the Internet has once again proven its data mining skill when someone dug through all the source code of Xiaomi teaser page to find the name Xiaomi Mi A1. We can speculate that the Mi A1 will have an aluminum design like the Mi 5X. Some minor specs or design differences between two names for two versions of a phone is not something strange.

Design aside, the benchmark for the device has also appeared. It shows that the Xiaomi Mi A1 RAM holds 4GB while storage space has 64GB. We are not sure if there will be a MicroSD slot until the official announcement. It also shows that the phone will have a Qualcomm Snapdragon 625 chipset. With the design based on the Mi 5X, we can expect a 5.5-inch display. Hopefully, it will also render at full HD as well.

Another thing we can expect is that the Xiaomi Mi A1 Camera to be a dual one. It’s only logical to end up with at least 12MP dual camera when the design comes from the Mi 5X. The benchmark leak also reveals the operating system to be Android 7.1.2. With the Android Oreo official release only last month, we believe that it will come to the Mi A1 next year.
